Scodix awarded 2011 Best Production Printing Device in Europe Scodix won an international award from the European Digital Press Association (EDP) in May 2011. The EDP is one of the most prestigious organizations in our industry, with member media from 18 countries representing over 1 million readers across Europe. Scodix won the EDP technological innovation award for a new post-press product. The EDP grants awards to the best products of the year introduced in the European market to acknowledge the value of the research and development in the industry. "City of Love" – Scodix success story A major marketing campaign was created to receive funding for a movie project called "City of Love." The campaign included sending leading people in a city a book and a CD both enhanced by Scodix – giving these items a premium quality and triggering the recipient's touching senses. And it worked! Forty-two percent of the people opened the mailer,73% of them went to the website landing page, and more than 19% signed up for a meeting. The project produce Ila Byalistock said: " 'The Jerusalem, I love you campaign', was targeted at audience that has seen it all and are very difficult to impress. The use of Scodix in our printed items helped us create the Wow! Effect we were looking for. This solution really makes a difference and I’m sure we’ll be using it a lot in the future." |

Scodix1200 in Stockholm The Scodix1200 was exhibited at Print 2011, the major labels and packaging event for the Nordic region held in Stockholm from Feb. 9-11. Visutech, Scodix distribution partner for the Nordic countries, had its own booth at the show, where it presented the Scodix1200 press alongside the HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press and the EskoArtwork digital cutting table for short-run packaging. Visutech demonstrated a full workflow from pre-press via HP Indigo, Scodix to finishing on the Esko. |
| Dscoop 6 Scodix unveiled its press in North America at the Dscoop6 event held in Orlando, Florida from Feb. 17-19. Dscoop is a dynamic, user-driven community of HP Graphic Arts press owners and their sales, marketing and production teams. For Scodix this was a great opportunity to be exposed to over 2,000 guests from the industry. Graphispag show in Barcelona Henche, the Scodix distribution partner in Spain, presented the Scodix1200 press for the first time in Spain at the Graphispag show that took place March 22-26 in Barcelona. Henche used the Scodix1200 press for its pre-show buildup, including direct mailing, a magazine cover, and invitations. At its booth, Henche demonstrated the Scodix1200 press, HP Indigo press 5500, and some finishing systems. The highlight of the show was when the Princess of Spain visited the Henche booth and was impressed by the Scodix samples. |

Digi:media show The first annual Digi:media show, organized by Messe Düsseldorf, was the main international Commercial Graphic Arts event in Europe in 2011. For Scodix it was a great opportunity for a first exposure on the European continent, and particularly in the largest European print market of Germany. Some 170 exhibitors and 6,000 visitors attended the show from April 7-9. The Scodix booth was the second largest (100 s.q.m.) after HP and Heidelberg, and in the best location. Scodix received an unprecedented amount of exposure. The quality of the visitors at this show was high and there was a great amount of overall interest in Scodix. |
| TWS open house event in Italy The launching event in Italy organized by TWS – the Scodix distribution partner for Italy – was held in the center of Florence at a private bank on May 12. Kobi Ulmer, Scodix Europe Manager, took part in the event on behalf of Scodix. Some 50 people attended, including journalists and prospective clients. The day started with a formal presentation on Scodix and later the group traveled to the first Italian customer for a demonstration. |
